The module on Addiction was introduced by Rev. Sr. Cassie, O.L.A.\u00a0 Her approach was the experiential approach. This is, presenting the understanding of the concept from the perspective of the victim.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, she began by saying \u201cin society, we are judged by our behaviour and also related to as such. Addiction is only part of us. We are human and a work of God\u2019s art made out of goodness\u201d.\u00a0In sharing the experience of victims, she re-echoed their shared experiences and summed it up with this statement, \u201c I did not become ADDICTED to alcohol because I was bad. I became addicted when I discovered that it blocked out my PAIN\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
